Reh Kendermann (RK) is a 100 year old family run wine company and one of Germany's largest export wineries. North South Wines (NSW) is a young and fun UK wine wholesaler/importer and RK's UK distributor. It is committed to sourcing ethical wines where possible, and has a broad range of organic, biodynamic, vegan, ethical and sustainable wines.

THE BRIEF:

31 Days of Riesling is a 'Wines of Germany' funded annual PR initiative designed to raise the profile of German Riesling in the UK. It is organised by 'food & drink' PR specialists Phipps (www.thisisphipps.com). As part of the 31 Days initiative, we were asked by North South Wines to create a simple range of 'Social Media Ready' images that show off the wines in the context in which they would be enjoyed by consumers in real life. We photographed the wines in a variety of realistic settings, in different glasses, over the course of a few days; indoors whilst we cooked dinner, outdoors with a picnic, alongside the barbecue and next to the vegatable plot in the evening sun. We edited and supplied a varied set of 30+ images to NSW who will use the images themselves and also share them with specialist independent retailers who will in turn use the them in their own social media posts, choosing the imagery that best suits their own style, tone and client base.

THE GIFT:

6 bottles of wine (3x V18 Riesling Kalkstein and 3X V18 Riesling Schiefer Steillage) for us to photograph and enjoy afterwards. We shared one bottle of the Kalkstein with friends at a wine tasting night and it scored very highly with everyone and was the surprise favourite of the evening. Very drinkable indeed!
